My name is Yovie Setiawan, and my journey in the Indonesian wood industry began in 2000 with a simple passion: creating quality wooden furniture that would last for generations.

In the early years, I focused on producing and exporting standard teak furniture, serving customers who appreciated the timeless beauty and durability of Indonesian teak. This experience gave me a strong foundation in craftsmanship, wood selection, and international quality standards.

As the market evolved, so did our company. From 2010 to 2015, we expanded into the production of custom interior cabinets and built-in furniture, working closely with designers, architects, and homeowners to create functional and elegant living spaces.

At the same time, I discovered a growing appreciation for the natural beauty of solid wood slabs. In 2010, I founded Bali Wood Slab with a vision to introduce the world to extraordinary, one-of-a-kind wood pieces. Rather than mass-produced furniture, we specialize in unique live-edge slabs and handcrafted furniture, where every piece tells its own story through its natural grain, shape, and character. No two slabs are ever the same, making each creation truly exclusive.

As demand continued to grow, we took another important step in our journey. In 2023, we established our own manufacturing facility in Banyuwangi, East Java, one of Indonesia’s finest regions for premium hardwood. Our factory enables us to manage every stage of production—from selecting the finest logs and kiln drying to crafting, finishing, and quality control—ensuring that every product meets the highest standards before it reaches our customers.

Today, Bali Wood Slab proudly serves clients around the world, including wholesalers, furniture retailers, interior designers, architects, hospitality projects, and homeowners seeking exceptional natural wood furniture.

More than two decades after this journey began, our mission remains the same: to transform nature’s finest wood into timeless works of art that can be enjoyed for generations. Every slab we create reflects our commitment to authenticity, craftsmanship, and sustainable value.
